Our new Nissan Elgrand van that comes with a motorised chair :-) Half the funds for this vehicle came from very generous souls who helped us out in a time of need. We feel very blessed

2010-06-24 Southlake Youth car wash fundraiser

Southlake Youth are holding a fundraising car wash from 4pm-5:30pm.

2010-05-29 Our family car was destroyed

At 2 in the morning, our very reliable family car was set on fire! This of course is a very unfortunate situation, because having a special needs child we rely on the car to get to and from appointments and of course for emergencies! The car was fitted with an extra padded baby seat capsule as well as an extra row of two seats which cost $1,500; unfortunately this extra seat was not insured.

2010-03-21 "A" is for Alekksis church fundraiser

Dora Creek Church hosted a beautiful lunch to fundraise for Alekksis' therapy. It was really well planned, lovely setting and delicious food! It was a full-house and the guests were very pleased to eat the delicious food and of course help Alekksis. Thank you all so much!!!

2010-03-16 AIAHP visitation

Chad Timmermans from AIAHP was with us for three days to observe, assess and teach us therapies we can give Alekksis on a daily basis.

2010-02-26 Alekksis is finally home

After 5 weeks in Westmed children's hospital we are finally back to home sweet home. The best thing is that Alekksis can now sleep in our bed, rather than on her own :-)
